Economic Impact of the Proposed 'Paradise Villages' Community in Stockton, California

dashed line separator Pulte Home Corporation (“Pulte”) engaged Gruen Gruen + Associates (“GG+A”) to estimate the likely economic impacts of the construction and operation of the proposed Paradise Villages development of 1,866 conventional housing units, 764 active adult units and associated recreational uses.

GG+A estimated the direct one-time construction impacts associated with the development of the proposed project and the direct on-going retail and medical expenditures of the future residents of the proposed development. GG+A also used an input-output model to estimate the one-time indirect or multiplier impacts attributable to the construction of the proposed development and the on-going indirect impacts attributable to the retail and medical expenditures of residents of the proposed development.

The active adult residents of the Paradise Villages community will increase the pool of volunteers for social, cultural, and community activities. Using a survey previously done of the Brentwood Summerset project, GG+A prepared an estimate of the economic impact of volunteerism by residents of the proposed development.
