Tax Nexus Analysis of Airport Parking
Client: Meyers Nave Riback Silver & Wilson
dashed line separator In the case of Airport Parking Services, Inc. v. City of San Bruno, Gruen Gruen + Associates familiarized themselves with the economic circumstances and markets served by an airport parking service located in the City of San Bruno. GG+A then reviewed the pertinent literature and became familiar with the specifics of the City of San Bruno's economy and tax base, in order to reach conclusions concerning the benefits and costs the parking facilities provided to the City of San Bruno. This analysis led to the conclusion that in this case, the imposition of a tax on the parking facility by the City of San Bruno was economically logical and probably prudent. Dr. Gruen was deposed and testified in support of the conclusions reached by Gruen Gruen + Associates in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the County of San Mateo. GG+A's work was conducted for the law firm of Meyers Nave Riback Silver & Wilson. Dr. Gruen was provided with policy direction and was questioned in court by Benjamin T. Fay, Esq.
